Steve Coffey

Lenoir – Steven “Steve” Randolph Coffey, age 70, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on October 16, 1950 to the late Randolph and Emily Trivette Coffey. He was married to Carol Sturgill Coffey of the residence for 51 years. Steve will be remembered for his love for the Lord, reading his Bible and his gardening. He spent most of his working career in the furniture industry doing maintenance work. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, James and Michael Coffey; and his sister, Ina Severt. Other than his wife, Steve is survived by his sons, Shane Coffey and wife, Pam; Adam Coffey and wife, Lisa; grandson, Carl Coffey; his sisters and brother; and his nieces and nephews. A graveside service celebrating Steve’s life will be held at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparta on Saturday, October 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Joe Sturgill officiating.
