Stephanie Bost

Stephanie Rainey Bost – Brown, 48, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at the residence. She was born October 16, 1963 in Rowan County to the late John F. Bost, III and Patsy Rainey Bost Hollar. She attended Caldwell County Schools, North Carolina School of the Arts, Texas Christian University and was a graduate of Lenoir – Rhyne University. She was a dance teacher with the Caldwell County Schools. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John F. Bost, Jr. and Virginia Martin Bost; and maternal grandparents, Jack R. Rainey and Patricia H. Rainey. Survivors include two daughters, Anabelle Grace Scarborough and Rainey Camille Scarborough of Hickory; Vernon Scarborough, Jr., of Blowing Rock; Mother, Patsy Rainey Bost Hollar and husband, Larry of Granite Falls; Sister, Leah Bost Vaughan and husband, Andy of Fuquay - Varina; two stepsisters, Julia Hollar Whisenant and husband, Rick of Nashville, TN and Joanna Hollar Swanson and husband, Eric of Spartanburg, SC; niece, Harper Jane Vaughan of Fuquay – Varina; aunts, Susan Bost Ray (Richard) of High Point, Alice Bost of Pompano Beach, FL, and Nancy Rainey (Chip) Bell of Lake Oconee, GA; cousins, Adam Pennell (Janet) of High Point, Anna Bost Pennell of High Point, Bilijack Bell (Lisa) of Atlanta; special family members Helen Scarborough, Paul, Mary Kay, Katie and Ruffin Scarborough and Sallie Scarborough all of Charlotte.      A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion United Church of Christ, Lenoir, conducted by Pastor Trudy Irving. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the Church parlor. Burial will be private.
