Siddie Brookshire

Lenoir- Mrs. Siddie Jane Walsh Brookshire, age 93, of Lenoir, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice in Lenoir. Born January 4, 1923 in Wilkes County, Siddie was a daughter of the late Thomas Fedrick and Lucy Hatton Walsh. She was a member of the Nazareth Advent Christian Church and had worked in the furniture industry for many years. She enjoyed gardening and working word search puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clay David Brookshire; a son, David Ray Brookshire; six brothers, John Walsh, Cap Walsh, Bill Walsh, Dan Walsh, Paul Walsh and Fed Walsh. Survivors include her son, Chester Aaron Brookshire (wife Pam) of Lenoir; a sister, Mattie Walsh Sherrill; a daughter in law, Patricia Brookshire; she is also survived by two grandsons, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will have a visitation at Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A private graveside service will be held at a later time.
