Shirley Spears

Shirley Felts Spears, age 78, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 at Brockford Inn Assisted Living.

She was born in Wilkes County on October 10, 1945 to the late Ivory and Virginia Myers Felts.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed fishing and playing Bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Felts; sister, Wanda Hammond; and her son-in-law, Jimmy Barrett.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Carlene Barrett; Charlene Mullins and husband, Ron; sons, Michael Spears; Brad Spears; niece/adopted daughter, Tammy Barnette Wilson; sisters, Patsy Felts; Betty Watson; Sylvia Coffey; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

A memorial service celebrating Shirley’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Michael Mullins speaking.
