Shirley Stainback Inscoe

Boone, NC- Mrs. Shirley Marie Stainback Inscoe, age 76, of Boone, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Blowing Rock Nursing Home. Born September 3, 1936 in Vance County, Shirley was a daughter of the late Murtie and Nora Mae Ayscue Stainback.  She also enjoyed painting. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Moss and Nell Hope; and three brothers, Carl Stainback, Bo Stainback and Milton Stainback. Survivors include her children, Lisa English of Boone, and Lee Inscoe, wife Mary Leigh, of Louisburg, NC; four sisters, Annie Mae Fuller, Elaine Reavis, Polly Averette and Mary Pearce; one brother, George Stainback; six grandchildren, Landis Hall, Heather Edmisten, Lucas English, Holly English, Jennifer Baker and Anna Inscoe; thee great grandchildren, Mason Edmisten, Lana Hall and Landin Hall; Shirley is also survived by numerous niece, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Louisburg with Reverend Ray Pearce officiating.
