Shirley Mae Hoyle Detter

Shirley Mae Hoyle Detter, age 87, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on June 26, 2023.

Shirley was born on June 16, 1936 to the late Ernest Setzer and Lois Moore in Caldwell County.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her former husbands, James “Jim” Hoyle and Carroll Detter; and brother, Raymond Setzer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, David Hoyle (wife, Cathy); grandchildren, Jonathan Hoyle (wife, Tiffany), Stacey Russell (Billy Dover), Jasmin Hoyle, Ryder Hoyle; great grandchildren; Makenzie Jackson, Sophia Hoyle; brother, Rodney Setzer.

A 3:00PM funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Evans Funeral Service Chapel in Lenoir with Pastor Rick Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. Burial will follow at Clarks Chapel Cemetery in Lenoir.

Shirley was a member of Crossroad Community Church in Hudson where she cherished her church family.
