Shirley Mae Moore Hoggard

Shirley Mae Moore Hoggard, age 82, of Lenoir passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, November 8, 2018.She was born to the late Robert Moore and Lucine Perkins Moore.In addition to her parents she was preceded in by her first husband, Forrest Powell; two sons, Forrest Delane Powell and Forrest Albert Powell Jr.; one brother, Lester Moore; one sister, Reverend Beatrice Dula and a son-in-law, John Scott. Survivors include her three daughters, Pastor Rhonda Scott of Phenix City, Alabama, Reverend Kimilia Powell of the home and Reverend Karen Parsons and husband Pastor Jeris Parsons of Lenoir; one son, Terry Powell and wife Lynn of Lenoir; one sister-in-law, Alice Dula; her former husband, Clifton Hoggard and his five children; sixteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at First Church of God in Lenoir with Reverend Jerome Pearson officiating.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church.
