Shirley Greer

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Shirley Ann Norris Greer, age 78, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Watauga County on August 21, 1935 to the late Earl C. Norris and Margaret Norris. She was married to Robert Elton Greer of the residence for 57 years. Mrs. Greer was a member of Tabernacle Advent Christian Church and retired from Tom Brooks Chevrolet-Buick after many years of employment. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Gail Pritchett, granddaughter, Laura Elizabeth Williams, great-granddaughter, Morgan Williams and daughter-in-law, Pam Greer. Other than her husband she is survived by her son Robert Elton Greer, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Taylorsville; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Callaway and husband, Chris of Lenoir; and son-in-law, Kenneth Pritchett of Lenoir; grandchildren, James and Jacob; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Landon, Robert, and Laura. A celebration of Mrs. Greer’s life will be held at Tabernacle Advent Christian Church on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Frank Hall officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 prior to the service at the church.
