Shirley Margaret White Daves

Shirley White Daves, 84, of Caldwell County passed away on June 12, 2022 at her residence. Shirley was born on June 28, 1937 to the late Gaither and Betty White in Caldwell County. Shirley spent her career in the furniture industry. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, shopping, and going to the flea market. Shirley loved her family and especially loved spending time with her many grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her sons: Richard Dean Seagle and William “Randy” Seagle. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Clarence Walker, Ted White, Bob White, and Lillie Mae Hollar. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters: Angela Mason (Junior), Sherry Prewitt (Nathan), and Donna Daves Buchanan (Clate). She is survived by her siblings: Doris Townsend, Jeanette Teague, Mary Ellen White, and Frank White (Loreane). Shirley leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. There will be a funeral service held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the chapel of Evans Funeral Service. The family will receive guests from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm the day of the service.
