Shirley Mae Briscoe

Shirley Briscoe, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was a resident at College Pines Health & Rehabilitation Center. Shirley was born on November 26, 1935, to the late Donald and Roxie Lambert.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley enjoyed traveling to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.  She was a life-long member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church, where she remained active until her declining health prevented her from attending.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Briscoe; her siblings, Doris Wallace; Willa Dean Jackson and Harold Lambert.

Shirley is survived by her son, Ken Briscoe and wife, Paula; daughters, Kim Bumgarner and husband, Doug; Karla Ford and husband, Phil; grandchildren, Joseph Briscoe and wife, Kate; Joshua Bumgarner; Teresa Bumgarner; great-grandchildren, Emory Briscoe; sisters, Mary Kemp; Carolyn Holder; and numerous other family members.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 11:30 until 12:30.

There will be a graveside service celebrating Shirley’s life at Clarks Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 1:30 PM with Pastor Jeff Lambert and Pastor Darren Lambert officiating.
