She was known as “Garden Girl” because she could make a tree grow by planting a stick in the ground. She always loved the mountains, the woods and the forests. Most important she loved her family, all 350 of them! She never had a bad word to say about anybody and could transcend any family disagreements. She could talk to anyone as her friend on either side of the family. She excelled at yoga and was an inspiration to many of the people in her creative writing class; particularly with her stories of her family’s adventures. The highlight of her year, every year, was “Camp Anderson” where she would get nieces, nephews, and the occasional “rental” to Pennsylvania for the summer. The hardest part was telling the kids when they were 18 years old that they couldn’t come back to “Camp Anderson”, but they got their own visit. Sherry left her friends and family with a beautiful lifetime of memories, that they will cherish. She will be truly missed but always celebrated.
