Sheldon O'Neil Harmon

Lenoir,NC- Mr. Sheldon O’Neil Harmon, age 48, of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care Center in Hudson. Born October 24, 1962 in Caldwell County, Sheldon was the son of Baxter O’Neil and Rachel Haigler Harmon. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Ward and Allie Oxford Haigler and George Calvin and Ruth Tester Harmon. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Cathy Wilson Harmon of Lenoir; a daughter, Aubrey Harmon of Lenoir; sister Sharon Osborne and husband Craig; niece and nephew, Sarah and Daniel Osborne; his mother and father- in- law, Susan and Robert Wilson of Lenoir; a sister and brother- in law, Tamara and Rick Coffey; niece and nephew, Kirsten and Corbin Coffey; his aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins. A celebration of Sheldon’s life will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Lower Creek Baptist Church at 4:00 PM with Pastor Todd Braswell officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Osborne, Corbin Coffey, Chris Haigler, Sandy Hoyle, Gary Brown and Alan Rose. Honorary pallbearers will be Everette Haney, Tony Land, Jim Wagner and Michael Watson. The family will receive friends at the Lower Creek Baptist Church on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
