Shelby Jean Labrose

Shelby Jean LaBrose, 83, of Lenoir, passed away on June 20, 2022. Shelby was born to the late Donald and Agnes Bryant on July 28, 1938 in Caldwell County. Shelby was married to Michael LaBrose for 60 years. Shelby was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitnel. She was known for the love she expressed to everyone that she met; and will be remembered for her sweet smile. Shelby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Michael LaBrose; her son Mike LaBrose and wife Ellen; her grandchildren: Jessica Anthony and husband Josh, Jennifer Quick and husband Brian, and Jana Mooney and husband Caleb. Shelby, also, leaves behind her five great-grandchildren: Ella, Brooks, Cooper, Clark and Beckett. She is survived by her siblings, Linda Gragg and Donnie Bryant, her nieces and nephews: Todd Laws and wife Lorie, Tina Laws, Nickolas Bryant, Kerrie Timmerman and husband Tanner, and Hannah Bryant; and her great-nieces and great-nephews. There will be a service held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Whitnel; officiating Rev. Steve Hedgecock and Rev. Stuart White. The family will receive guests 11:00 am-12:00 pm on the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to First Baptist Church of Whitnel.
