Shelby Jean

Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Shelby Jean Triplett Fox, age 76, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir. Born October 1, 1936 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Joe Harold and Wilma “Winnie” Triplett and the wife of the late Ray Johnson Fox. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjorie Rich and one granddaughter, Cadie Rich. Mrs. Fox will be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of West Lenoir Baptist Church since 1969 and was a faithful member of the church choir. She had worked at Greer Lab for over 30 years. She is survived by her son, Dale Rich, Sr. and wife Jackie of Lenoir; her daughter, Glenda Rich of Lenoir; one brother, Ralph Triplett and wife Libby; two sisters, Charlotte Smith and husband Joe H.; Nancy Andrews and husband Roger, all of Lenoir; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Fox’s life will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, November 24, 2012 at West Lenoir Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Safriet and Pastor Keith Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, prior to the service at West Lenoir Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Joey Smith, Roger Andrews, Dakota Rose, Dale Rich, Jr., Josh Triplett and Caleb Triplett. Honorary Pallbearer will be: Joe H. Smith.
