Sharon Lynn Holsclaw-Mitchell

Sharon Holsclaw-Mitchell, age 51, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at her residence in Mebane, NC. She was born in Caldwell County on September 17, 1972 to Dianne Bowman Holsclaw and the late Terry Holsclaw. She was married to Tracy Mitchell of the residence.

Sharon was a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and was a life-long Tarheel fan, as well as, a Dallas Cowboy fan. She loved her family and cared about others more than she did herself, putting God first. She passionately referred to her nieces and nephews as her “party people.”

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom and Esther Bowman and Mack and Mable Holsclaw; aunts, Susan Bowman and Diana Holsclaw Anderson and husband, David.

Other than her husband and mother, Sharon is survived by her brother, Greg Holsclaw and wife, Crystal; nieces, Sierra, Natalie, Skylinn; nephews, Ryan, Mason, Adam and Devon; Aunt Teresa Rader and husband, Jack; Uncle, Tom Bowman and wife, Pam; Uncle, Charles Bowman; and numerous other family members.

A memorial service celebrating Sharon’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Children’s Vietnam Veteran’s Alliance Inc.
