Sharon K. Church

Lenoir, NC ? Ms. Sharon Kay Cole Church, age 50, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Ms. Church was born in Elizabethton, TN on September 27, 1959. She was the daughter of Betty Cole Severt and the late Warren Cole. Ms. Church was musically gifted as she played the organ, piano, keyboard, accordion, and was a talented singer. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Thompson Church, daughter, Misty Dawn Church, and brother, Danny Edward Cole. Other survivors are her granddaughter, Madison Paige Coffey; step-father, Mike Severt; sister, Shirley Payne and husband, Colen of the home; sister, Tena Davis and husband, Robert of Lenoir; brothers, Paul and Timothy Cole of Lenoir; nine nieces; five nephews; and twenty great-nieces and nephews. A celebration of Ms. Church?s life will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 2:00 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Pastor David Gene Stines and Pastor Don Stines will officiate the service. Her granddaughter, Madison, will also be speaking during the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 1:30 until 2:00 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
