Shane Michael Buckner

Hudson, NC- Mr. Shane Michael Buckner age 18, of Hudson, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Born March 5, 1990 in Caldwell County, Shane was the son of the late William ?Junior? Harvey Buckner, Jr. Shane attended South Caldwell High School and Refuge Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed dirt biking, skateboarding and paintball. He is survived by his mother, Christy Turner and friend Shannon Johnson of Granite Falls; two sisters, Amber Buckner and fiancée, Jasen Drum of Newton; April Hullender and husband Chris of Hickory; Paternal Grandparents, William and Noreen Buckner, Sr. of Hudson; Maternal Grandparents, Dee and Alvin Smithey Conover; Maternal Step-Grandfather, William "Glen" Turner; two uncles, Blake Wesley Price and wife Sandy of Hudson; Ronnie Lee Price and wife Susan of Connelly Springs; two aunts, Donna Lisa Deyton and friend Dennis of Collettsville; Denise Roberts and husband Justin of Conover; one niece, Alyssa Rae Drum of Newton and one cousin, Riley Roberts of Conover. A celebration of Shane?s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Refuge Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Woodie officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Refuge Missionary Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Refuge Missionary Baptist Church, 375 Mt. Herman Road, Hudson, NC 28638 to help the family with expenses. Pallbearers will be: Terry Nelson, Nathan Singleton, Josh Brown, Jacob Wyatt, Charlie Blevins and Matt Johnson.
