"Shaggy" Michael Lynn Roberts

Michael “Shaggy” Roberts Lenoir – Michael Lynn “Shaggy” Roberts, 39, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on August 26, 1978 to the late Joe Lynn Roberts and Mellisa Arney Roberts. He was married to Bettina Thompson Roberts of the home. Shaggy was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He never met a stranger and was always full of smiles and laughter. He loved the outdoors and could often be found at one of his favorite places, Wilson’s Creek or Hunt Fish Falls. Shaggy was also an incredible artist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lois C. Arney and his uncle, Robert E. Arney. Other than his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Dallis Roberts; son, Clark Roberts; step-daughters, Candra Thompson and Jalyn Thompson; sister, Crystal Kennedy and husband, Buf of Maiden; nephew, Jacoby Kennedy; and his “honorary” brothers, Derek Dellinger, Ryan Southard, Ryan Coffey, Jason Arney, Daniel Arney, Bradley Clonch and Jake Allred. A memorial celebration of Shaggy’s life will be held at Hibriten Masonic Lodge #262 on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 3:30 PM with Masonic Rites.
