Granite Falls, NC- Timothy “Scottie” Scott McRary, age 51, of the Baton Community, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his home. Born June 9, 1964 in Catawba County, Scottie was the son of the late Steve McRary and the late Mary Sue Houston and the husband of Robin Diane Stallings McRary.Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Aaron “Bubba” Scott McRary.Scottie had worked in shipping at Bernhardt Furniture for many years. He was a man who loved his family and his friends. He will be remembered for always putting others needs before his own. Scottie never met a stranger and was a friend to all who knew him.Surviving other than his wife Robin are sons, Zac Anderson and wife Tina of Lenoir; Ryan German of Granite Falls; one brother, Rodney McRary and wife Wendy of Hickory and three grandchildren, Zoey Anderson, Connor McRary and Canyon McRary. He will be loved and missed by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and other relatives.A celebration of Scottie’s life will be held at 5:30 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Rodney Raby officiating.
