Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Sarah Tester Morrow, age 72, of Lenoir, died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Born March 23, 1937 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Rose Edna Ward Tester and the wife of Mr. Leonard Morrow of the home to whom they were married 32 years. Mrs. Morrow was of the Baptist faith and attended Calvary Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Leta Kay Steele and 4 brothers, Basil, Olan, Norman and Kennith Tester. Surviving other than her husband is her daughter, Denise Philyaw and husband Clyde of Lenoir; one son, Steven Ellis and fiancé Donna McLeod of Lenoir; one special step-son, Travis Morrow and wife Regina of Lenoir; 2 sisters, Gail Triplet and Mavis Littlejohn, both of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Daniel Corley and wife Amelia, Michael Ellis and wife Katelyn, Timothy Ellis and one step-granddaughter, Taylor Morrow. A celebration of Mrs. Morrow?s life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 8, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Alan Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 until 5:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service & Crematory.
