Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Annas Summerlin, age 68, of Lenoir entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Born April 9, 1953 in Caldwell County, Sandy was a daughter of the late Fred and Alice Pennell Annas.Sandy was a Sunday School Teacher at Nelson’s Chapel Baptist Church for many years.She taught the toddlers, along with first and second graders.Sandy enjoyed going to yard sales.She also enjoyed quilting.The thing she loved most was spending time with her grandchildren.Her grandchildren were her world.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Eli Brown; four brothers, Sherrill Annas, Jerry Annas, Neal Annas and Kenneth Annas; two sisters, Lois Hoyle and Judy Barlow. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Eddie Summerlin; two sons, Timmy Williams and Tommy Williams (wife Leslie); a daughter, Crystal Summerlin Brown (husband Jason); her grandchildren, Hannah Brown, Ethan Brown, Hayden Brown, Hunter Brown, Justin Williams, Jessica Williams, William Green and Gunnar Williams; her great grandchildren, Braxton, Mason, Abbi, Brantley, Kinley, Reagan, Gracie and J.J.; Her brothers, Raymond Annas andRoger Annas; her sisters, Jan Ledford and Ruthie Gragg; her beloved pets, JoJo and Boots she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Sandy’s life will be held at Nelson's Chapel Baptist Church on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM.The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 prior to the service.
