Sandra Hicks Lackey

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Sandra Hicks Lackey, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro. Sandra was born in Caldwell County on March 20, 1947 to the late John Wesley Hicks and Marie Turner Hicks. She was married to James Hood of the residence. Sandra worked for several years at the Lenoir Soup Kitchen preparing meals for the homeless. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Arvil Lackey and her son, Robert Lackey. Other than her husband, she is survived by her sister, JoAnn Wright and husband, Calvin of Lenoir; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Advent Christian Church on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:00 in the Fellowship Hall.
