Ruth Watson

Lenoir – Ruth Watson, age 84, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Caldwell Hospice. She was born in Carter County, Tennessee on November 18, 1935 to the late Howard and Mary Myers. Ruth will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and she loved Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Watson; three sons, Tony Howell, Tommy Howell and Randy Howell; brothers, Homer and Bud Myers; and her sister, Earlene Parker. Ruth is survived by her sons, Gregory Howell; Gordon Howell and wife, Sheila; Anthony Howell; her daughter Evelyn Wilson; grandson, Dean Colvard; brothers, Charles and Carl Myers; sisters, Nan Lambert; Roberta Corder; Mary Wilson and Ann Graybeal; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Ruth’s life will be scheduled at a later date. The family respectfully requests that memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
