Ruth Shuford Snyder

January 15, 1933 — September 10, 2022

Ruth Shuford Snyder, 89, of Hudson, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Ruth was born on January 15, 1933 in Burke County to the late Marvin and Mary Shuford. She was married to the late Avery Allen Snyder for 55 years. Ruth spent most of her working years in the textile industry. In her spare time, she loved traveling and listening to bluegrass music. Ruth was a long-time member of Dry Ponds Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her sister Violet Ingle, brother Tate Shuford, grandson Titus, and sons-in-law Kermit and Roger.

Those left to cherish her memory include: son Clifton Snyder and wife Susan, son Danny Snyder and wife Margaret, daughter Jewel Clark, daughter Joy Sims, son Steve Snyder and wife Judy, son Joe Snyder and wife Carolyn, 16 grandchildren, 31 greatgrandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Amorem Hospice, formerly Caldwell.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at Dry Ponds Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 4:00pm

The family will receive guests from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm prior to the service.
