Ruth Buckner Hollar

Ruth Buckner Hollar of Lenoir, North Carolina went home to be with her Lord on March 4th, 2023.

Ruth was born on October 3rd, 1943 to the late Llyod and Ella Buckner.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Benny Buckner, Raymond Buckner, Daniel Earl Buckner; her sister Esther Buckner; grandson Daniel Coy Bryant; great granddaughter Kaitlyn Ann Hollar; and her husband Clayton Junior Hollar.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother Grady Lee Buckner; her sister Matalyn Carver; daughter Sandra Hollar; son Patrick D. Hollar; 1 grandson; 1 granddaughter; 2 great grandsons; and 5 great granddaughters.

Ruth was a dedicated nurse who loved sewing and crafts. She went out of her way for her patients and loved doing so. Ruth enjoyed traveling with her family, whom she loved very much. She absolutely loved babies and caring for them.

A memorial service to honor Ruth Buckner Hollar will be held at Evans Funeral Service Chapel on Wednesday March, 8th 2023 at 4:00pm.
