Russell Everett Anthony

Russell Anthony Lenoir, NC- Mr. Russell Everett Anthony, age 86, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville. He was born in Troy, OH on October 22, 1926 to the late William and Donna Anthony. He was married to Lucille Bazemore Anthony of the residence. Mr. Anthony was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of South Lenoir Church of God where he enjoyed playing his harmonica. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Anthony and brother, Billy Anthony. Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Glen Patrick Anthony and wife, Sue of Tennessee; Russell D. Anthony of Granite Falls; Nathan Jolly and wife (Annie) of Florida; Bruce W. Jolly of Florida; Brenda Himes and husband, Ryck of Lenoir; Diane Jolly of Lenoir; brother, Bobby Anthony of Ohio; and 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Anthony will be held at South Lenoir Church of God on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 7:00 PM with Reverend Ernest Bowes and Ryck Himes officiating.
