Rudy Stanford Watson

Lenoir– Rudy Stanford Watson, age 64, of Lenoir, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Brian Center East in Hickory.Born October 22, 1950 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late Harvey Stanford Watson and Mrs. Betty Greene Watson of Lenoir.He was the husband of the late Frances Setzer Watson.He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Kimberly Watson. Rudy retired from RJE Telecom after 16 years of service.He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be known for his love of cooking, especially his chili. Other than his mother, he is survived by two sons, Aaron Watson and fiancé Krystle Haithcock of Taylorsville, Ben Watson of Lenoir; a brother, Bobby Watson of Shelby and many other relatives. A celebration of Rudy’s life will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Worship Point Baptist Church with Reverend Lane Hamby and Reverend Benny Greene officiating.Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church.
