Ruby Pressley Tilger

Ruby Pressley Tilger, age 74 of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 13, 2024 at Hospice.

Ruby was born on December 30, 1949 to the late Talmadge and Edna Pressley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Stallings and husband Frazier, sisters Patricia Paisley and husband Jim, and Quinell Tilger, brothers Cecil Pressley and Lamar Pressley and wife Lisa, granddaughters Katie Greene and husband Luke, Hannah Hudson and husband Nick, and great-grandchildren Josie, Annie and Owen.

Ruby was a long-time member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she loved to worship her Lord and Savior, alongside her many wonderful friends. She worked twenty plus years for Charter Communications. Ruby was the matriarch of her family and loved them fiercely. She was very close to her siblings, no matter the distance between them. Her greatest joy was spending time at the pool with her daughter, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Ruby’s life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Tommy Bridges. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Frazier Stallings, Luke Greene, Nick Hudson, David Price, Tucker Price and Todd Tilger. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cecil Pressley, Lamar Pressley and Jim Paisley.
