Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Ruby Darindy Moore Hurley, age 81, of Euro Court, died Monday, September 25, 2006 at her home. Born October 10, 1924 in Wilkes County, Mrs. Hurley was a daughter of the late Wilson H. and Peggy Shew Moore and the wife of the late Hugh Hudson Hurley. Mrs. Hurley had worked for Broyhill Furniture and Dollar Daze. She was a member of Blair?s Fork Baptist Church, a former Girl Scout assistant leader and a 4-H Leader. She is survived by three daughters, Ruby Pritchard and Edna Bingham and husband Mack all of Lenoir and Betty Earp and husband Danny of Raleigh; one sister, Pearl Cannon and husband Ivey Eugene of Lenoir; one brother, Earl Moore of Lenoir, 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy J. Hurley; one son, Hugh H. Hurley, 5 sisters, Blanch Moore, Fanny Moore, Agnes Woods, Frances Sears and Doris Cannon and 4 brothers, Charlie, Glenn, Hershel and Harrison Moore. A celebration of Mrs. Hurley?s life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Blair?s Fork Baptist Church with Reverend Jobie Borders and Reverend Daniel Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 until 8:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service, 1070 Taylorsville Road, Lenoir.
