Ruby Mccrary Knotts

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Ruby McCrary Knotts, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Lenoir Health Care. Ruby was born on February 10, 1928 in Caldwell County to the late Olin and Mattie Carlton McCrary. She was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church and an avid reader of Reader’s Digest. She was the owner and operator of Foodland Grocery Store. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Knotts; a daughter, Claudia Anderson; a brother, Ernest McCrary; and one sister, Erna Summerlin. Survivors include her children, Jackie Crotts (husband Tony Green), Jim Pinson (wife Anita) both of Lenoir, and Jayne Smith of Edmond, OK; six grandchildren, Andrew Crotts of Lenoir, Edward Smith of Oklahoma and four grandchildren in Texas; she is also survived by numerous other relatives.
