Ruby Kincaid Hartley

Lenoir – Ruby Hartley age 93 moved to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was born on January 10, 1922 in Caldwell County. She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Hartley and her son Allen Greene. She was also preceded in death by her parents George and Anna Kincaid, her brothers Fred Kincaid, Arthur Kincaid, and Bela Kincaid her sisters Daisy Perkins, Elizabeth Rinehardt, Irene Wooten and Florence Kincaid. She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren Terry Hicks, Marie Blankenship and Randy Greene. She is survived by her children Linda Phillips and husband Joe, Wayne Hartley, Mattie Spears, Harold Hartley and wife Betty, and Diane Cable. The special joys of her life were her fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren. Ruby loved her Lord and Savior and loved raising her children in a Christian home. She will be greatly missed by those who call her Granny or Mama Hartley. A funeral service celebrating her heavenly birthday will be held at Evans Funeral Service Chapel on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 3:00 PM. Reverend Scott Philyaw and Reverend Mike Greene officiating. The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Evans Funeral Service Chapel from 1:00-3:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Daniel Effler, Jerry Hicks Jr., Stacy Pennell, Cody Pennell, Tyler Blankenship and Jeremy Blankenship. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Cable.
