Ruby Corley Hall

Lenoir- ?Granny Ruby?, Ruby C. Hall, age 64, of Lenoir, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at her home. Born December 27, 1945 in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late George and Haley Price Corley. ?Granny Ruby? was well known and thought of in the community and will be missed by all. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory James Hall, one brother, Edward Price and one sister, Mildred Fox. She is survived by her husband, Junior Hall; two daughters, Penny Lofgren and husband Jim and Barbie Hall and daughter-in-law, Cindy Hall. She is also survived by one brother, Raymond Corley and wife Elizabeth; three sisters, Margaret Price of Concord; Jo Ella Shore of Baton; Georgia Miller of Louisiana; 12 grandchildren, Kyle Poarch, Charlotte Lofgren, Mikie Poarch, Amy Lofgren, Christopher Lofgren, Chris Hall, Brooke Hall, Erica Bentley, Tyler Hall, Rebecca Hall, Greg Allen Mason, Kara Mason; 2 great-grandchildren, Lilly Hall, Mattie Bentley and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of ?Granny Ruby?s? life will be held 5:30 PM Friday, August 27, 2010 at Unity Baptist Church with Reverend Paul Dula and Reverend Rodney Raby officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening prior to the service from 5:00 until 5:30 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, North Carolina 28645 The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Crutcher, Dr. Haynes and to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care and their staff.
