Ruby Annas

Ruby Tedder Annas, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Trinity Ridge. She was born in Caldwell County on July 24, 1932 to the late Cicero and Cora Piercy Tedder.

Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long-time, active member of First Baptist Church of Hudson. She taught in the children’s department, worked in the media center and helped with several other areas of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Annas; sister, Gladys Snyder; and brothers, Ralph Tedder and Roy Tedder.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff Annas and wife, Vickie; Tim Annas and wife, Lori; brother, Ray Tedder; grandchildren, Shannon Annas Spears and husband, Jon; Jamie Annas Suddreth and husband, Bret; Erin Annas Lutz and husband, Tyler; Claire Annas Bortnick and husband, Ricky; and Dr. Cole Annas; great-grandchildren, Layton and Mayven Lutz; and Carson Bortnick.

A celebration of Ruby’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Hudson on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mack Jarvis and Dr. C. Wade Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sardis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
