Roy Lee Walsh

Roy Walsh Granite Falls – Mr. Roy Lee Walsh, age 67, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on October 29, 1947 to the late Fred Walsh and Junie Dyson Walsh. Mr. Walsh would have been married to Brenda Robbins Walsh of the residence for nearly 43 years this Christmas Eve. Mr. Walsh was a member of Ambassador Baptist Church for more 34 years, where he served as deacon and choir director. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. In addition to his wife, he was survived by his four sons, Roy “Lee”Walsh, Jr.; Freddie Walsh; Quentin Walsh; Ethan Walsh; grandson, Harper Walsh; brothers, Buddy Walsh; Benny Walsh and wife, Geraldine; sisters, Peggy Soots and husband, Odell; Nancy Bradley; Ann Enloe and husband, Robert; Barbara Peterson and husband, Gene. A celebration of Mr. Walsh’s life will be held at Ambassador Baptist Church on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:30 with Pastor Robert Setzer officiating. Intement will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:15 prior to the service.
