Roy 'Paw Paw' Causby

Mr. Roy “PawPaw” R. Causby, age 71, of Hudson, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. He was born in Caldwell County on June 25, 1943 to the late Ralph and Viola Causby. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Faye Ward Causby; granddaughter, Ashley Marie Causby; sister, Pat Causby; and brother, Gary “Squeak” Causby. He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Coffey and husband Daniel of Granite Falls; Elaine Justice and husband Tommy of Hudson; 3 sons, Tim Causby and wife Deb of Hickory; Robert Causby of Newland, Keith Causby and wife Robin of Newland; Grandsons, Chris Coffey and wife Laura, Christopher Causby, Bryan Causby, Joshua Ford and fiancé Carrie, Joshua Justice and wife Maggie, T.J. Causby, Tony Curtis, Shane Chrisco; Granddaughters, Elaine Coffey and fiancé Israel, Christy Causby; Great-Grandson, Daniel “Turtle” Wesley Ray Coffey and Great-Granddaughter, Mayleigh “May May” Rhiannon Justice; Siblings, Ralph Causby, Jr. and wife Pansy; Bob Causby and wife, Sandra; Mark Causby and wife, Patty; Steve Causby and wife, Betty; Joe Mack Causby and wife, Sandy; Wayne Causby and wife, Debra; Mabel Laney; Rita Livingston and husband, Jackie; Donna Coffey and husband, Jr.; Joan Sanders; and Connie Allison and husband, Donny. A celebration of Mr. Causby’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 5:00 PM with Chaplain John Robbins officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 prior to the service.
