Roy Kincaid Lenoir – Mr. Roy L. Kincaid, age 90, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017.Roy was born in Caldwell County on October 31, 1927 to the late Lewis and Channie Kincaid. Mr. Kincaid was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Newton Transportation as a truck driver. He was a long-time member of Ambassador Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Mae Kincaid; brothers, Paul and Gerome Kincaid; sisters, Clara Hawkins, Johnsie Parron and Vivian Dula Arney; and great-grandchildren, Caden Crisp and Leah Greene. He is survived by his son, Dale Kincaid and wife, Jeanie; daughter, Tammy Phillips and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Daren Kincaid, Kim Laiklam, Kelly Greene, Richard Crisp Jr, Brandy Crisp, Jacob Crisp; and 15 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mr. Kincaid’s life will be held at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 26 at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Setzer. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service.
