Roy Dennis Kincaid

Roy Dennis Kincaid, age 90, of Hudson, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care in Lenoir. Roy was born on March 23, 1931 in Caldwell County.He was a son of the late Clarence and Gertrude Clay Kincaid.Roy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.He was a veteran of the US Navy and served for four years.He retired from Caldwell Freight Lines Industries after 23 years of service.He enjoyed working on Lawnmowers, playing put put, golf, camping, and fishing.In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Evelyn Stoots Kincaid; a daughter and son -in- law, Cindy and Danny Hayes; a brother, Kenneth Kincaid; a sister and brother – in- law, Marie and Charles Phelps Survivors include a son, Leonard Kincaid (wife Teresa); one step son, Roger Henderlite (wife Pam); two step daughters, Peggy Welsh and Sandy Rhodes;three grandsons, Danny Hayes, Jr., Cory Henderlite (wife Abby) and Gary Welsh; two granddaughters, Brandy Goodwin and Shannon Kohnle (husband Ben);great-grandchildren, Kellen, Evy, Logan, Gage, and Colt;a sister-in-law, Joyce Kincaid;he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir conducted by Reverend Lonnie Bell.
