Roy Adam Helton

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Roy Helton, age 69, of Lenoir. He passed away at home on February 4th, 2025. Roy was known for his compassionate nature and his unwavering dedication to helping others. His kindness touched everyone he met, and his heart truly shone through his eyes, revealing the depth of his love for those around him. Roy had an extraordinary ability to make others feel seen and valued, he was a friend to all. He loved being able to lend a hand to those in need and his gentle spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is preceded by numerous family members and loved ones. Melissa Abernathy, Scotty Kirby, Glenn Abernathy, Jonathon Poplin, Holly Hensley, Gearld Abernathy, Crystal Abernathy, Brian Helton, and many more that loved him dearly and missed by all.

A service to celebrate Roy's life will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Clyde Bumgarner officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service in the chapel of Evans Funeral Service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
