Roy Lee Haney

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Roy Lee Haney, age 64, of Lenoir, died Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born January 12, 1942 in Waynesville, NC, he was a son of the late Jesse T. and Demmie Mae Price Haney and the husband of Betty Lindsey Haney of the home. Surviving other than his wife is his daughter, Cindy Haney of Wilmington; 2 sons, Troy Haney of Wilmington; Steve Haney of Lenoir; 2 sisters, Jean Erwin of Boiling Springs Lake; Helen Shipman of Canton; 1 brother, John Haney of Granite Falls and 7 grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Haney and a sister, Clara Mae ?Buddy? Tranum. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, December 17, 2007 at Liberty Fellowship with Reverend Tommy Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 3, one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Kyle Haney, Jason Anders, Johnny Price, Cory Hamby, Phillip Hamby and John Melton.
