Roy "Butch" Clarence Owens,

Roy “Butch” Clarence Owens, Jr., 69, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Caldwell UNC Health.He was born December 21, 1951 in Caldwell County to the late Roy Clarence Owens, Sr. and Mary Louise Owens. Butch was retired was retired from the NC Department of Transportation after 29 years of service. He is a member of St. James Episcopal Church where he served as former Junior Warden.He was an avid Georgia football fan and loved Harley Davidson memorabilia. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Laura E. Owens; one son, Matthew Owens and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Caelin Owens, Taylor Owens, Kaylie Owens, and Caleb Shuffit; two brothers, Keith Franklin Owens and Robert Jeffrey Owens; and special companion, Charlie.
