Ronnie Tolbert

Ronnie Wayne Tolbert, age 71, of Granite Falls passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Born September 20, 1948 in Caldwell County, Ronnie was a son of the late Ralph and Florence Roberts Tolbert.Ronnie loved people and attended Day 3 Church in Granite Falls.He was an avid golfer.He was the owner and operator of a heating and air company in Florida.He was defined by a saying, “Another day, Another day.”In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Bean, Emily Tolbert and Lyana Tolbert; and a brother, Gary Lee Clontz. Survivors include his brothers, Ralph Tolbert of Granite Falls, William Daniel Tolbert of Lenoir, David Lee Tolbert of Banner Elk and Paul Clontz of Sacremento, CA;his four children; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Lynn Parsons officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC28645.
