Ronnie Campbell

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Ronnie Lee Campbell, age 73, of Lenoir, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. Born May 17, 1943 in Smyth County, Virginia, Ronnie was a son of the late James and Susie Pennington Campbell. He was a member of Zack’s Fork Baptist Church. He was a Godly man who lead by example and was the rock for his family. The most important thing in his life was the time he spent with his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Norma Campbell, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His only hobby besides spending time with his family was fishing. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Campbell, Agnes Martin and Naomi Day. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Donald Campbell, Connie Laws and Cindy Suddreth (husband Kevin) all of Lenoir; a brother, Jim Campbell of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Michael Campbell (wife Emily), Elizabeth Laws, Jamie Campbell, Shauna Laws, Samantha Wilcox (husband Jeff), Marcus Odum and Chelsea Philyaw; four great grandchildren, Cloe Campbell, Jackson Campbell, Hunter Wilcox and Ava Campbell; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A private memorial service for Ronnie will be held at a later time. Memorials can be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
