Ronnie Lester Brown

Ronnie Lester Brown, age 75, of Granite Falls, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County to the late Martha Mathis Brown Bolick and Clyde Woodrow Brown. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Frank L. Bolick, brothers, Daniel Eugene Brown, James Allen Brown, and Luther Gill Bolick. A kind and generous husband and father, Ronnie is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Patricia Shomaker Brown, of the home; daughter, Leslie Jarman and husband Alexander; brother, Raeford Timothy Brown and wife Sandra; numerous nieces and nephews. Known to his employees as “RB”, he was owner of River Run Superettes. He loved being with people. Among his varied interests were playing Canasta, old cars, music, traveling, reading novels, and sitting on the porch. Services will be private.
