Ronald (Ronnie) David Greene of Carousel Lane, Lenoir entered Heaven's gate on May 12, 2022. Born to the late Ralph "Dale" and Pauline "Polly" Greene, Ronnie was a Godly, selfless, witty, and giving soul. A truly hardworking man, he was a master craftsman who worked with his hands and his mind. He could build or repair anything, never requiring credit or accolades for his work. Ronnie was humble and loved with his whole heart, having a unique and special personality in the eyes of everyone he met. He spent his time on earth doing things for others, loving his family, and living in the moment with each person who passed into his life. He was a dedicated servant of God, serving at Nazareth Advent Christian Church. Whether he met you in passing, at work, at church, or through family you were immediately loved by him and you loved him in return. He enjoyed life, spending time on the tractor, in the garden, or on the front porch. He loved to entertain and uplift others by being a wonderful listener, a fantastically funny storyteller and prankster, and a man who lived life to the fullest each day and with each person. He had a habit of flying a special "invisible airplane", which was his explanation for the goods and services he voluntarily delivered to others under a cloak of anonymity. If something you needed turned up in an unexplained manner, he always explained it away as a dropped item from that invisible plane.
Preceded in death by brothers Roger, Marshall, and Terry Greene, Ronnie is survived by his loving wife Lorrie of 28 years; his paternal aunt Marie Gragg (Russell); his siblings Victoria Maness (Bruce), Danny Greene (Donna), Gordon Helms, and Mike Norris (Nancy); his children Mandy "Amanda" Greene Stroud (Kevin), Kellie Bentley (Paul), Crystal Romaniecki (Kevin), David Laws (Betsy), and Whitney Holman (Dusty); his grandchildren Anthony, Madysan, Jaden, Kaleb, Aidan, Austin, Elijah, Gabe, EmberLynn, and Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His love will carry on in each of them.
