Roger Steven Sentz

Roger “Steve” Sentz of Lenoir went to his heavenly home on February 26, 2021. He was born in Gettysburg, PA on October 21, 1955. He was the son of Pete and Nadine Combs of Lenoir. In addition to his parents, he’s survived by his sister, Tina Green and husband David of Hudson and two brothers, Shawn Combs and wife Selena and Chad Combs and wife Wendy all of Lenoir. He’s also survived by his nieces Kara Greer, Megan Bruch, Conner Gragg, Casey Combs, Cydney Combs, Calen Combs, and one nephew Daniel Green. He had numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. Steve loved all things associated with sports. His passion was baseball, especially the Baltimore Orioles. He was an avid bowler and loved spending time with his bowling friends at Bo’s. He was an all-around athlete and graduated from Francis Scott Key High School Class of 1973 in Union Bridge, Maryland. There will be a memorial service held at North Catawba Baptist Church on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Social distancing and masks will be required. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
