Roger Scarberry

Lenoir- Roger Glen Scarberry, age 60, went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2022 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. He was born in Wise County, VA on April 3, 1961 to the late Joe and Evia Scarberry. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Scarberry, and sister, Geneva Scarberry Dunford. Roger was a beloved son, father, grandfather and uncle. He loved the Lord and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as an inspiration to everyone he came in contact with. He is survived by his daughters, Kristy Pipes and husband, Matt; Makayla Winebarger and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Lucas, Zackery, Maverick, Bella, Luke and Kenzie; brothers, Larry Scarberry and wife, Joyce; Clifford Scarberry; Johnny Scarberry; sisters, Reba Scarberry, Sue Maddy; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Roger’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Scott Philyaw officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
