Roger Lee Miller

In loving memory of Roger Lee Miller, who peacefully passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 72. Roger was born on March 18, 1951, to the late Lillard Eugene Miller and Louise Goins Miller. He found immense joy in golfing, hunting, and sharing quality moments with his dear friends and family, especially his beloved grandsons. Renowned as a true charmer, Roger was an extraordinary Pawpaw who radiated love and warmth to all fortunate enough to know him.

Left to celebrate his legacy are his wife, Wanda; his loving daughter, Ryan Rectenwald, and her husband Tracy; as well as his adored grandsons, Reid and Grant. Roger’s memory will forever resonate in the hearts of his siblings: Wilma Turner and John of Lenoir; Marie Grimes of Boone; Morris Miller of Fleetwood; Elbert Miller of Fleetwood; Clayton Miller of Fleetwood; Jeannette Conrad and John of Winston Salem; Glenda Miller and Rick of Sacramento, California; Wanda Shammas and Michael of Virginia Beach, VA; and Ron Miller and Lisa of Fleetwood. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of cherished nieces and nephews, each touched by his kindness and wisdom. May he rest in eternal peace.

A celebration of life will be held on October 14th, 2023, at 1841 Café from 2-4pm.
