Roger Helton

Lenoir- Roger Dale Helton, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County to the late Theodore and Erma Helton. Roger was a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paralee Craig. Roger is survived by his children, Crystal Hedrick and husband, Jeff; Matthew Helton and wife, Jessica; Jennifer Cowick and husband, Matthew; Hattie Helton and fiancée, Josh; brothers, Larry Helton; Harold Helton; sisters, Irene Brown and Lori Crump; grandchildren, Garrett Hedrick; Madison Helton; Megan Helton; Avery Smith; Jocelyn Cowick; Raelyn Cowick; Liam Cowick; Gabe Cowick; and Koven Baker. A celebration of Roger’s life will be held at Lenoir First Wesleyan Church on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Pastor James Baker officiating. Interment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Matthew Helton, Matthew Cowick, Josh Baker, Scott Helton, Brian Helton and Kenny Brown. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
