Roger Dale Harmon

Lenoir, NC- Reverend Roger Dale Harmon, Sr. age 55, of Lenoir, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, October 16, 2008. Born September 25, 1953 in Caldwell County, Reverend Harmon was a son of George L. and Arvee Greene Harmon of Lenoir and the husband of Diane Spears Harmon of the home. Reverend Harmon had served as pastor of Holy Dove Full Gospel Church in Rutherfordton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was saved in East Hudson Baptist Church and was a member of Hillside Baptist Church. He had also worked as a Finish/Repairman with Bernhardt Furniture. Surviving other than his wife and parents are; son, Reverend Roger Dale Harmon, Jr. and wife Vickie of Lenoir; daughter, Martha Harmon Rose and husband Jeff of Hudson; brother, Jimmy Harmon and wife Kim of Lenoir; sister, Christine Webster and husband Joel of Lenoir and 6 grandchildren. A celebration of Reverend Harmon?s life will be held 3:00 PM Monday, October 20, 2008 in East Hudson Baptist Church with Reverend David Crump, Reverend Clarence Widener, Reverend Jerry Lingerfelt and Reverend Roger Harmon, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will received friends from 1:30 until 3:00 PM, prior to the service at the church.
