Roger Dale Greene

Roger Greene Lenoir, NC – Roger Dale Greene, 57, of Lenoir departed this world on the wings of a dove August 14, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born October 6, 1955 he was the oldest son of the late Ralph Dale and Pauline Craig Greene. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall Greene, a sister-in-law, Judy Price Greene, and a great nephew, Brian Dean, Jr. Despite his disabilities, he was employed by Fairfield Chair Company of Lenoir for forty years, where he was Employee of the Year in 2008. Among his passions were old cars and trucks, motorcycles, and the American Flag. He is survived by his sister, Victoria (Bruce) Maness, brothers Ronnie (Lorrie), Terry, and Danny (Donna) Greene. He was a proud uncle to fifteen nieces and nephews and twenty-two great nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his best friend, Windy Hampton, and her family, John, Heather, Grace, and his cat, Fairfield. A celebration of Roger’s life will be held at Clark’s Chapel Baptist Church on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Dr. David Roberts and Eric Greene officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 6:00 until 7:30 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
